Announcement: Phase-Out of Support for the Jet RDHPC Machine

EPIC will phase-out support for the Jet RDHPC machine. Components of EPIC support to be phased-out include spack-stack, UFS Weather Model regression testing / baseline maintenance, as well as issue support for Jet in the UFS Weather Model and other EPIC-maintained repositories (e.g., UFS SRW). The UFS WM and EPIC-maintained repository support will end at the time of this announcement; EPIC spack-stack support will adhere to the below 6-month phase-out timeline so that UFS teams have adequate time to transition (ending 6 months after the publication of this announcement):

• Support only spack-stack versions/environments (and associated issues) released in the past one year (per spack-stack charter policy)
• No new installations (i.e., will not install [email protected] on Jet); no environment/installation modifications; no new library requests
• Users wishing to use stacks newer than 1.8.0 will need to test on other machines or install themselves on Jet
