v15 - UX: Why does the "Create" button uses the Infinite Editor for the main content and the sidebar not?

I am struggling to explain my users that if they want a full width page to edit their articles, they have to use the small "+" button in the sidebar to add a new document or expand the nodes to find their document and click on the node to edit it.

If they use the main view in the center, the new document or the edition will always open a side panel with a reduced width which is not really comfortable when you want to edit a large article with the RTE.

IMO, the main content (the one displayed when clicking the "Create" button or clicking on a item in the collection view) should be displayed using the full page width, then, the side editor should be used for other actions.
