Comprehensive Audit Log System for Frontend Operations

Context

As we now have post, snyc, etc. operation now. We may need to track and log all user operations/actions performed in the frontend to maintain accountability, security, and traceability. This will help us understand user behavior, debug issues, and maintain compliance.

Current Problems

1. No systematic way to track user actions
2. Limited ability to trace operation history
3. No audit trail for compliance purposes
4. Lack of visibility into post-trigger operations

Requirements

Core Features

1. Action Logging
   • User identification
   • Timestamp (UTC)
   • Action type/name
   • Target resource
   • Operation details
   • Status (success/failure)

Hm, sounds nice but we should think about the purpose or cost/benefit.

If this is for audit/compliance purposes it may be sufficient or even better to track activity on the API side, rather than the UI. UI operations that don't involve API calls are probably not that important and tracking on the API level means you also track activity from other clients.
Also, with OrcaHouse/OrcaVault coming up, we may have a central place to address this for (nearly) all OrcaBus services. Together with login activity (which may already be tracked) this should give us a pretty complete picture.

If this is for UI / behaviour analysis, then some UI analytics tooling (like Google Analytics) may be easy and powerful enough.
