Absolutely insane that an extension registry requires my full legal name to publish an extension. I'll add it to the auto-update list but I would have liked to publish it in the existing GitHub Actions workflow here :/ |
I wasn't aware of this. I agree that this is very invasive. Unfortunately, it looks like it is also required for their auto-publish workflow. |

Open VSX is a vendor-neutral open-source alternative to the Visual Studio Marketplace, which is used by VS Code derivatives such as VSCodium which are prohibited from using Microsoft's Marketplace.
There are multiple ways to publish to Open VSX: the package can either be directly uploaded or it can be requested to be auto published from the Visual Studio Marketplace. See the Open VSX Wiki for details.
