The problem

Firefox, Edge, Vivaldi, and Brave all implement vertical tabs UI. This UI can significantly enhance tab management and browsing efficiency.

IIUIC, the MPL allows usage in differently licensed codebases, as long as the imported code remains under MPL. So it would be possible to import the code under MPL, but then those patches would need to stay under MPL.

Then we'll have to do a great housekeeping in order to clearly indicate and separate licenses of the patches used. (Which once came to a dead end IIRC)
