Help requested: DPEL

Hi I have been operating with an automation that is triggered when feed in tarrifs (FIT) go below (or above) 1 cent. This automation changed the grid profile to one that either limits export to the grid or enables it. Recently, something changed and the 2 grid profiles I was using can no longer (for some unknown reason) be set by the automation. Whilst researching to troubleshoot the issue, I stumbled upon an update to this integration which enabled a service to configure DPEL.

I feel like I'm being a little thic,k but can someone help me understand how to use this:

Specific questions:

1. What does slew rate mean?
2. I just want to:
   a. turn off export to the grid when FIT go negative but still want to supply the house with sufficient power to cope with the load including charging my battery if required or
   b. turn on export to the grid when FIT go positive

Backgroud info:

• Amber is my energy retailer
• Tesla PW2
• Enphase Envoy-S-Metered gateway
• IQ 3P relay
• IQ7A microinverters (firmw: 520-00082-r01-v04.30.23)

Hi @ppastur, to answer your questions:

1. The amount of watts it can change per interval. You maybe have to experiment a bit, try starting with 100 and increase if it is too slow.

2a. Watt = 0, Slew = 100, Export = True
2b. Call service Disable DPEL

Thanks for your quick response, so something like this to enable export limiting:

Regarding slew rate, you mention "per interval" is that a time-based interval, like seconds or something else?

I did a quick test today and created a toggle. When I change the toggle position, it does the following;

Here is the behaviour I noticed on my Tesla app, which I confirmed using my Grafana:

Environment:
Solar production: 8kw
house consumption: 1.6kw
battery charge: 100%

Observed behaviour

1. When I limit export, solar production goes to 0 kw and my battery then powers my home
2. When I disable the limit, solar production goes back up to 8kw and powers my home, charges my battery, and exports remaining power to the grid.

Expected behaviour

1. When I limit export, solar production goes to 1.6 kw and my battery stays at 100% and 50w is exported to the grid.
2. When I disable the limit, solar production goes back up to 8kw and powers my home, my battery stays at 100%, and the remaining 6.4 kw export to the grid.

Am I doing something wrong?

Further Testing provided interesting results
I changed the automation to limit to 250W (instead of 50 W), and I observed that solar production went to 1.9 kW (probably rounded), and my battery stayed at 100% and 0.2kW (probably rounded) was exported to the grid.
