🎉 Announcing Our New Project: otterseq 🚀
Hello everyone!
We’re thrilled to introduce to otterseq! This project aimed to provide a tool to researchers at Mignot's Stanford Lab to conduct simple operations on genotype data in PLINK format. As more people requested it's use, we decided to make it more accesible by reducing the load on
bash
programming and provide an interface with Python. We hope this library becomes an easy to use tool for your project!🌟 What is otterseq?
otterseq is an object-oriented Python library that leverages PLINK1.9 and PLINK2.0 and narrows the expertise knowledge in
bash
required to use them. It provides simple tools and commands to handle binary PLINK files, merging, Quality Control, PCA computation, and other, commonly use in Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) and other genetic studies.Whether you’re a developer, designer, scientist, or just someone interested in genetics, there’s something in this project for you!
