Just wanted to share a small but incredibly useful feature I stumbled upon—this isn't a request, just a tip that might help others.
I'd been looking for a quick way to switch a specific video into single mode. Normally I'd right-click and choose it from the menu, but that's slow when you're full-screening lots of videos in quick succession. I was even hunting for a hotkey when I discovered—purely by accident—that double-clicking a video jumps straight into single mode.
Use case:
I use GridPlayer all the time as a fast, no-frills shot-review tool (in my case, for VFX/mograph) to compare multiple renders of the same shot in sync and pick the best one.
Often, a shot looks fine in (eg) a 4×4 grid, but a single-mode fullscreen check reveals issues. Being able to jump instantly to single mode for a given shot is critical here.
Double-clicking to enter single mode is a perfect, frictionless solution—and I think it deserves to be hyped more for anyone using GridPlayer for side-by-side shot review.
