Feature request: offer the OSM 'Transport Layer' as one of the selectable base maps

Hello,
I am keen OSM editor and Waymarkedtrails user :)

Currently Waymarkedtrails offers a choice of two base maps: 'OSM Standard Map' (Carto) and OpenTopoMap.

Obviously Carto is useful and popular as a general purpose map, but it doesn't have contour info, so OpenTopoMap can be very useful when out hiking or cycling, and you want to check how steep a path is going to be! (Or help orientate yourself in a landscape)

But I would like to suggest a 3rd base map that I would find very useful: the Open Transport Man (which is currently one of the main basemaps selectable on openstreetmap.org's web interface)

I would find this really useful when planning hikes, because it would make it so much easier to find train or bus stops that are near the start and end points of the hike.

(I've no idea how technically easy or difficult it would be to make this change, or if it would have some licencsing cost for use the OpenTransport map! But I'm hoping it would be easy ;)

The Transport Map is a commercial offering. I'd need to ask for a free tier for waymakedtrails which at the moment I don't want to do. I hear that ÖPNVKarte might be coming back. It could be an alternative for that use case. Hoever, both maps have the problem that they do not play very well with the colors of the waymarkedtrails overlay.

I loved ÖPNVKarte :) I hope it does revive. It hasn't updated properly for nearly 2 years. I emailed them last year but didn't get any reply.

Whilst this is true, most waymarked hiking trails are orthogonal to public transport routes, and we would just be interested in the intersections, to plan a hike (then we'd switch back to Carto or OpenTopo!). So I wouldn't say that was too bad a problem.

A lot more cycle routes share bus routes, but buses don't play very well with bikes in real life either, so that's arguably a valuable indication :) (Here in the UK, there are a lot of 'cyclists share bus lane) portions of routes, and they are annoying!)
