Fresh Install Of Neovim and Packer: Not Able to PackerSync

I am following thePrimeagen's tutorial for setting up Neovim from scratch and I am unable to run :PackerSync.

I have cloned the repo according to the instructions, and while inside packer.lua I :so and then try to run :PackerSync with the error shown. The logs don't show an error.

Is the red text supposed to be there when the plugin is up-to-date? From the video I see it just says it's up-to-date.
I am on MacOSX 10.15.7 and running an intel chip.

Build type: Release
LuaJIT 2.1.1703358377

  fall-back for $VIM: "/usr/local/Cellar/neovim/0.9.5/share/nvim"

I have XCode 12.4 installed, so those are my newest compilers.

Any help in understanding this error would be great. I am very new to all of this. I have been learning vim-motions and finally decided to take the leap; didn't think I'd run into an error immediately.
