Error while processing response <ok>: An unexpected command was completed by the controller. #2524

Hi, I am new to this so not sure how it works. I have commented on a closed discussion which is the title to this discussion but not sure if it will get picked up and responded to.
The previous discussion seems to have been resolved offline with no explanation as to how it was resolved.

The issue is with "Error while processing response : An unexpected command was completed by the controller."

Right from when I connect, it says [MSG:Check Limits] and then the error messsage.
When I try to run a file it goes onto HOLD after a few seconds, I have tried a file that I know works and get the same result.

This is on a 4040 by the way.

Very frustrated so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure that your machine is not engaging limit switches when you turn it on.
Do not run any file until you have resolved the issue with "[MSG:Check Limits]".

Hi. Thanks for the advice. I have disabled the limit switches so the error has gone, however now I cannot jog the controller. The screen shot below shows that there is a command being sent but nothing moves on the machine. [image: image.png] Before disabling the limit switches I tested them all using the setup wizard and they are all okay so I don't understand why they are causing an issue. What did notice is when they were active and I tried to home the machine, there was only movement on the Z-axis but in the - direction. I have tested the setup using the wizard and everything was moving in the correct direction. Is there some limits set somewhere that need to be adjusted or removed perhaps.
