In pages using the default 'doc' template, both are visible at the bottom of the sidebar menu like in VitePress.

In pages using the 'splash' template, technically this menu is not visible (as there is no sidebar) which is an issue as it prevents these controls to be available. The issue is currently being tracked and discussed in #977.

Considering this, I'll close this discussion as a duplicate so we can focus on one place. If you have ideas regarding the various points discussed in #977, feel free to share them 🙌
