can you rename op input or output labels without breaking them in genish?

for example, the mix op has inputs named 'loval' and 'hival'. but it's just a simple mixer, so, it'd be better to name them input_1 and input_2 or ch1 and ch2, etc. can we just do this (or even write something like the label changing switch case code near lines 1900?
