Slow loading when saving posts when using wpgraphql smart cache

Hi 
I have noticed that when it comes to saving posts its taking a long time. When smart cache is disabled, I do not experience this issue anymore. However since the smart cache helps with frontend I cannot disable it. Is there a way I can disable the cache when used in the WP dashboard?
