I have the files you mention in your commit but they are not being applied, controller is just ignoring the configMap and the ingress controller has default configurations.

Hi @robertoyoc . I tested this scenario about three months ago. Worked fine. Maybe some configurations have gone wrong after resolving the merge conflicts. If you are willing to do a fix, PRs are always welcome :) Btw there's no WIP in this PR
