Climatopia is a multilingual digital ecopoetry anthology project created by Yohanna Joseph Waliya
in 2023 at the University of Calabar, Calabar-Nigeria. Climatopia as a term is coined from two words: climate and utopia,
meaning the climatic perception of perfect world as it is illustrated in the digital poetries across the world.
This digital ecopoetry anthology project selects e-works across the globe that sensitize the global community about
the danger of climate change and suggests artistic and poetic ways to fight it in accordance with diverse cultural
belief systems as they correlate with African worldviews.
We are still imploring e-poets to submit their best works
to this global database. We are also sourcing works from mega databases and exhibiting them to the whole world.

Fleurs du Mal - Tied like a Madwoman

Fleurs du Mal - Tied like a Madwoman is an electonic eco-poem inspired by and dedicated to to Rozalia Forai.
Trees talk talk as grass Not understanding them doesn’t mean
they don’t because trees talk as grass talks in sign language body language they talk they sing!
Through Wind moving their lips No matter the language A Scream Is A Scream! The Scream of a naked tree
weeping willow waking up in a fresh winter dawn tied in white plastic bags. The Madness The Embarrassment of
blossoming with white Fleurs du Mal. Fear of the Wind, an old friend who used to bring fragrance of the oak
who brings the Man’s trash now The Wind struggles but the Man casts roles now The Wind struggles but the Wind
ties green lips of a friend Fear! Mine My Embarrassment Your Embarrassment? My Anger! Your Anger! seeing a willow
tied in white like a Madwoman! struggling to mumble something to the loved one oak Trees talk Trees scream

Serbian Version

Fleurs du Mal!
