!Attention:
Zed, i have an old cpu i7 4600u with old gpu intel graphics 4400, the main issue is that zed uses vulkan my processor supports limited vulkan, so whenever i am using zed it is feeling slow because of too much gpu utilization, Please Do something of it, either give a option to disable hardware acceleration, or do something of vulkan so that it dont use too much gpu on older machine like mine one. Please Give a response.

i am using Zed latest version on Lenovo Thinkpad T440's Linux mint 22.1 installed with i7 4600u & intel graphics 4400.

I'd just like to add, not everyone on Linux has a Vulkan compatible GPU. The card I have in my machine is fine for everything except Zed, as it's not compatible with Vulkan. I have to decide if I buy a new graphics card just to use a new editor (Zed is great!).

I have a 12-core Ryzen CPU which is pegged just by opening a couple of Zed sessions when llvmpipe is used!

Is it possible that you can spend a bit of time optimising the llvmpipe use case? Even if it's emulated, it's surprising that running a simple text editor eats threads.
