Subagents for Zed Agent Mode #32620

Similar to RooCode's Orchestrator Mode for reference, where plans are made to delegate tasks to specific modes (sub-agents; e.g. Architect, Code, Debug). It then summarizes and returns to main agent. I agree, really great for context. More convenient than relying on documenting summary on a file for each agents (per session) using prompts. |

Agreed here. I'm finding that my workflow is "I am the outer loop" right now. And it'd be nice to automate my role and get me out of the way of quick building progress. To achieve that, I'd like to have the Agent panel "be" the outer loop that I'll give instructions. And in order to do that, the Agent panel... needs to control the Minion agents. "Zedions" if you want a nice marketing-hype name.. (zed folks: credit me, but no cost! 🤣) I'm hoping that some Zed folks are already working on this - at least thinking about the "sub agent" workflow... I'll pop this comment into the Discord and see if there's more comments/eyes on it then! [updated; https://discord.com/channels/869392257814519848/1382745184609239124/1397333975978217503 ] |

More of a casual feature request. Would be interesting to test enabling subagents that the main agent can delegate tasks too. It appears this is where alot of the leading tools are exploring next.
It also helps resolve some of the context length issues.
