Support for Apple's Foundation Models (on device)

Now that macOS 26 has shipped, we have access to Foundation Models.

Are there plans or is there work-in-progress to support this?
I love the idea of being able to use an agent on-device, whether I'm offline or to not be dependent on upstream provider's availability / pricing.
