I found related issues that might be helpful:

• sidebar can't be widen #2447
  The suggested solution is to click the button on the top left of the screen or press the keyboard shortcut Alt + b.

• side bar does not resize properly #1554

• Sidebar icons and workspaces aren't showing properly #1634
  The suggested solution is to try turning off the "Uniform Workspace Button" mod, as it may be causing the issue. Removing it and restarting has helped others.
