Unrecognized metadata type ERROR

I am trying to test harvester that is installed on my local dev machine and geoportal catalog on the same machine.
I was trying to export metadata from a folder in our ARCGIS portal into catalog server.
I had 6 records and only 2 of them were imported to the catalog. The rest had an error "Unrecognized metadata type". The two that were imported are of DataSource type in Portal and the rest are Feature layer.
When I tried to harvest them from portal to a folder on my machine, all 6 were harvested.
So I guess the catalog does not understand the format of these items. But I can open them in portal metadata editor.
Can anyone clarify what may have happened and does catalog supports formats that metadata item editor in portal supports?

It seems that after changing metadata type in ARCGIS Portal from ISO 19115-3 to FGDC harvesting from portal to catalog started to work. Is it possible to harvest ISO 19115-3 format? Maybe I am missing something in harvester setup?

It seems the problem is specifically with the harvester's ability to work with a Portal instance that has its default metadata style set to ISO 19115-3. When we tested other formats (FGDC, as described above, and then ISO 19139 (GML 3.2)), the harvester was able to complete the task.
