View Assist Custom Sentences Gallery

View Assist is easily extendable by adding custom sentences which provide data to different custom views. On this page you will find a gallery of premade custom sentences. You will find links to the requirements and installation instructions. Blueprints have been made available for easy installation and full automation YAML files are also provided for those who would like more control. All custom sentence blueprint/automations require that Stream Assist user have version 2.1.0 or greater.

We encourage everyone to share their creations so that others might enjoy what you have brought to life.

Broadcast

• Description: This custom sentence will sound an alert sound and broadcast an audio message to all View Assist satellites that are not in do not disturb mode. The text version of the message will appear on the screens of all View Assist satellites with displays that are not in hold mode.

• Usage: User says "Broadcast" plus the message to broadcast

• Requirements:

How's the weather

• Description: Allows user to request current weather conditions and see those conditions and forecast
