Particles (from torches, campfires and the like) behave inconstantly (1.21.1) #1773

Description

@pettjedi96-lang

Torches that you look at through a portal in the overwolrd does not emit any particles, while campfire does. (I swear the campfires did NOT emit particles yesterday, but now they do) (even placed in spawn chunk torches doesn't emit any particles).

While inside the nether, all particles are shown.

While inside the end, no particles are shown at all.

I can't figure out why it behaves like this. Aren't all the particles drawn from the same system? I.e torches and campfires use the same method?

I have installed Create mod as well as World Edit (in-game version) And that's it, no shader packs, nothing else.
Flywheel is set to "backend flywheel:off".
I tried without using Create mod and the issue persists.

I don't even use Sodium, because it seems to make the portal stop rendering when you move around 30 blocks from the portal (vanilla Minecraft you can move almost as long as you want and the portal will still render, would love to get answers to why Sodium does this and if there is any method to fix it so it doesn't totally ruin the portal effect).
