Turning Uyuni into an openSUSE project

We would like to move Uyuni under the openSUSE umbrella. After seven years of Uyuni development we are formalizing something that was already almost a fact: being an official openSUSE project.

Some advantages of joining the openSUSE project:

• The possibility to use their infrastructure and resources. Actually we do already use it for a lot of things, such as OBS (the Open Build Service), Google Summer of Code openSUSE participation, some help already with the marketing and merchandising, the openSUSE mirrors, the openSUSE Calendar, or the mailing lists.
• More visibility (via the openSUSE community)
• Trademarks and domains can be created and centrally managed

But very important, let me also clarify what this would NOT be:

• This does not change at all the fact of Uyuni being able to be run on top of your preferred host OS. Actually we're very happy to have known, due to the poll we had a few weeks/months ago, that some Community users were successfully running the containers on top of Debian and/or Ubuntu. We will still encourage the Community to use their preferred OS, and we will do our best to look into any possible issues, also the ones reported for a host OS different than the one we can validate.
• Needless to say, the focus will remain on managing multiple GNU/Linux distributions.
• Other than that, this does not change anything else

One thing to note is that openSUSE trademarks are owned by SUSE and the same would be the case for the Uyuni trademarks and domains. We evaluated other options, but found the openSUSE project to be most suitable for Uyuni.

The openSUSE project has already agreed to welcome us, there were no doubts from them, and the only request was to adhere to their code of conduct, which has always been the case since the Uyuni project was founded.
