Please add formatting for output and PDF generation

I'd like to fill out financial forms using calculations and PDF, but there's no way of changing the output format (or input for that fact).
Fields in a financial report should look a certain way. Decimal points and currency for starters would be nice.

I've tried using item fields, but there's no way of calculating and displaying negative numbers with them.
This is also fairly important because there's also no way of printing receipts for returns

So., I'd like if you could add the negative calculation and display for item fields or add a way of altering the format for number fields.
