Windows Users:

Please place the executable in a separate directory. (Not your old wow folder!)
On first launch it will create subfolders and a desktop icon.

If you are upgrading from an older version just replace the WinterspringLauncher.exe

Mac Users:

Only Apple Silicon is supported (m1 / m2 chips).

  1. Download and open the .dmg file.
  2. Move the Winterspring Launcher into the "Applications" folder.
  3. ⚠️ To run it you have to right click the launcher and choose "show package content" and then open WinterspringLauncherTerminal. Please note, you have to run the ...Terminal version, otherwise there will be missing libraries.
    This bug will be fixed in upcoming releases

Mentionable changes in this version:

  • Changed default game folder to ./World of Warcraft (people who are upgrading are still using ./game-client)
  • Fixed some issues that people had when launching the game
