Genome Tracker: initial release
Built by Goran Sterjov @gsterjov
First public release of the ARGA Genome Tracker
This release delivers a dashboard for navigating genomic data coverage across taxonomic groups. Features include:
- raw data about the composition of Australia's biodiversity at different taxonomic rank depths
- percentage tracker for taxonomic groups, showing completion towards having at least one complete genome for at least one representative species from each group
- graphic of rate of genome completion, including aggregated total and year-on-year differential
- an interactive narrative view of significant milestones in the genome sequencing of Australia's biodiversity
- dashboard views of key biodiversity groups, such as mammals and birds, showing completion by subgroup, a cumulative tracker, and leaderboard for species with whole genomes
- links to view other key higher taxonomic groups.
The dashboard is supported by a live query of the ARGA genomic index database.
Raw data files (CSV format) and graphics files (PNG format) are available for download.
