Amazing, thank you! I appreciate the initiative. I looked over the README and I was able to follow. Planning to give this a try soon with the one Ilya lent me.

Will try to resolve the precommit issues.

@linx5o would you recommend installing Windows 10 or Windows 11? It looks like Windows 10 gets deprecated Oct 2025, but it seemed like the Windows 11 instructions may have been a bit more complicated?

EDIT: went through the instructions once more and the Windows 11 piece seems straightforward. Was just overcomplicating it in my head

Doesn't need to go in the document, but what instructions did you use for getting the product key (through UofT I imagine)? Browsing briefly, wasn't totally clear - https://www.google.com/search?q=university+of+toronto+windows+installation

Windows 10 will still work fine after that date. Just no more security updates I believe.

For windows 11 it does require additional SSD. Default storage is not sufficient.

I currently have windows 10 installed. I think for ease of use and less to carry it is sufficient.

Have not activated yet. Unaware of uoft keys.

Ty! Will probably try with Windows 10 (thanks for the reminder about needing a SSD for Windows 11 due to storage). If I have trouble getting the activation key through UofT I'll probably just purchase a subscription.

There are a lot of sites that sell cheap key. Might be worth taking a look. Just be careful of region restrictions.
