Simple visualization of reaction forces and moments.
An often overlooked component of piping/pressure vessel analysis is the poor nozzle caught in between. This nozzle is often fighting and contorting itself to resolve the differential forces between the two. These forces and moments can often be carried internally without issue, but sometimes it can lead to an undesirable event. Its not always an issue, but one must have a trained eye for identifying the contributors to such high nozzle loads so it can be properly designed and validated.
