We strongly believe that privacy is a fundamental right. That's why we created this extension: to help you understand what's going on with your data.

Installation (for developers)

1. Clone or download this repository (green button on the top right of this page)
2. Open Google Chrome and go to chrome://extensions/
3. Enable developer mode (top right corner)
4. Click on "Load unpacked" and select the folder where you cloned/downloaded this repository (the src folder containing the manifest.json file)
5. You're all set! You can now pin the extension to your browser's toolbar for easy access (click on the puzzle icon, then click on the pin icon next to the "What's my cookie" extension)
6. Click on the extension on any page and... Voilà!

Update (for developers)

If you wish to update the extension, simply download the latest version of the repository and replace the old files with the new ones. You can then reload the extension by clicking on the refresh icon in the extensions page (chrome://extensions/).

About data sources

All information on cookies is fetched from this open source repository: open-cookie-database. Feel free to contribute!

About data permission & privacy

While this extension does need tabs and cookies Chrome permissions to work - which is a major security risk - it does not communicate in any way with any server outside of you computer. It also does not store any data on your web browser. It's 100% safe and private.

We will never ask for any permission that is not strictly necessary for the extension to work. If you have any doubt, feel free to check the source code yourself.
