This pull request includes a tutorial for FANS, AiiDA, and the aiida-fans plugin, in the form of a marimo notebook. It is designed to be self-contained, possible to run from a virtual environment the user creates themself, but assumes access to Python and FANS by other means.

I think the tutorial is in a good place now with the general structure and presentation all there. Details can still be ironed out as we see fit.

  • Run pre-commit for formatting fixes.
  • I would rename the folder AiiDA-FANS instead of tutorial, TBH.
  • I would also append to the main .gitignore file instead of having nested .gitignore files
  • I would also love to have a FANS-level pixi based pyproject.toml and environment including dependencies of AiiDA-FANS as well as the FANS_Dashboard to keep everything very clean.
