Additional features
Due to the communication layer between edupage and EduPage2 not being complete, users of EduPage2 are able to read messages (even the ones labeled as important) without triggering a read confirmation. This means that the sender will not be informed that you read the message, unless you open it in the official edupage app.
The QuickStart option in EduPage2 allows the app to start even faster then usual, but because of the way it works, it is opt-in and will not be enabled by default.
When EduPage2 loads, all information that it downloads from the EduPage2 backend server, is also saved to the device. This was done so that the app could function even when the user tried to open it while offline. When enabled, the QuickStart option loads all data from the on-device copy, and renders the app. After rendering, the app proceeds to download the latest data from the EduPage2 servers.
If your school uses iCanteen to manage meals for students/teachers, the EduPage2 app offers functionality to show the user's order meals for the upcoming month. To enable this feature, open the drawer on the home page (menu button at the top) and select the setup iCanteen option. Here you will be prompted for your username and password, as well as the domain that you use to access iCanteen (not edupage). Please include the full address (example: http://icanteen.yourschool.com/)
