This PR fixes a critical bug in the edge-sharing logic for the bottom edge of grid cells. The original code incorrectly referenced the top neighbor's edge_top_index when it should have been referencing the bot neighbor's edge_top_index, breaking the symmetry of the edge-sharing pattern.
