Hi Ben. Find below a list of tasks which will give you the necessary skills in order to get back into a work enviroment.
For each task please fork the repo, create a branch (E.g. task/one), code, create a pull request. I'll then review the code and asked for any changes. Please create a seperate folder for each of the tasks and have the project/tests inside of that folder.
E.g. task1 task2 task3
Please recreate the NSNotificationCentre and NSNotification functionality. You should write tests which show the class is functioning how it should
###Task 2: Creating a signup screen You should create a signup screen with the following components:
- UITextField : first name
- UITextField : last name
- UITextField : DOB (With formatting, validation (Valid dates) and correct keyboard)
- UITextField : Password (With secure mode on, validation (must be between 5-80 characters)
- UIButton to save the user
The user should enter all of the details, pressing enter moves them to the next entery and clicking anywhere out of the boxes will remove the keyboard from view. When save is clicked we should make a 'user' object and prepare the data in json format ready to be transfured to the server
###Task 3: Creating a background downloader Create a set of classes which will allow the background downloading of HTML files from a given URL.
- UITextField to enter URL
- UIButton to start the download -> Added the download into the UITableView
- UITableView which holds all of the downloads which have been started/completed (UI layout will follow)
- If a download is currently in progress the user should be able to click a 'cancel' button on the cell and thus cancel the download
- UILabel (Inside the cell) to display to display the total size (if avalible) and how far we are through the download
- User should enter a url
- User should click start
- An entery will be added into the UITableView
- User can click 'cancel' -> UITableView will say 'Cancelled' and the download will be cancelled
- Download will finished and say 'completed', Cell can then be clicked and will show a new ViewController with the HTML inside a UITextView
###Task 4: Creating a 'countdown clock' You need to make a countdown clock where the user enters a time in hours/minutes and they will be 'notified' once the count down is reached even if the user has closed down the application.
No UI/Flow is given for this task
