Apache2

• Add .htaccess in your application root near index.php with the following content (see below) activate URL rewrite module

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-l
RewriteRule .* index.php [L,QSA]

• Set up physical path to index.php for your application

DocumentRoot "/var/www/html"
<Directory "/var/www/html">
    Options -Indexes +FollowSymLinks +Includes
    AllowOverride All
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from All
</Directory>

IIS

• Download and install URL Rewrite module for IIS
• Create web.config in your application root near index.php with the following content (see below)
