Takes advantage of the crane library and builds common checks as derivations. We get the benefit of a fully reproducible rust toolchain that's used for the development environment and CI, as well as documentation checks prior to publishing. Also fixes some clippy warnings, cargo-doc errors and uses the flake check command in the pre-commit hook.
