…properties (for consistency's sake). Also added several properties to use when the NSTextFields are unavailable, for example when running in an command-line only environment (like ssh). Downside is that there is a slight duplication of code.

These two commits enable BetaBuilder to run in a command-line only environment. They are kind of hack-y, I have to admit, and there is some code duplication in main(), but I don't know yet how to work around that.
