Media playback in Safari on iOS seems to work fine (although the video immediately opens full-screen in native player and has to be set to picture in picture before the user can actually interact with the timeline).
However, the layout of the buttons even with 100% text zoom is so scrunched up both in portrait and landscape mode that the buttons overlap each other and so some cannot be selected. Updating Timeliner for editing on mobile might be too much effort, but we could look at making sure Timeliner is able to successfully be used and functional on mobile. For right now, Timeliner and SME don't do well on mobile and we won't be spending much time to make sure everything is functional in the mobile-only context.
