Project Overview

NYC Transit Pulse is an interactive, physical art installation designed allow people to physically walk through real-time transit data, usingreal-time transit data for New York City's bus system. This project provides detailed diagrams of the installation, showcasing its layout, GTFS-RT LED implementation, and interactive features.

Features

1. Overall Installation Layout:

   • 8' x 8' interactive floor map of NYC
   • Color-coded bus routes (Express, Local, Crosstown)
   • Pinpointed bus stops

2. LED Implementation:

   • Dynamic lighting to represent bus frequency
   • Pulsing effects to show real-time bus movements

3. Interactive Features:

   • Touch-sensitive areas for accessing route information
   • Real-time schedule updates
   • Information display screen
