"Love is a process; it is a deliberate decision to be seen and to see another."

This interactive web application is based on the famous psychological study by Dr. Arthur Aron, titled "The Experimental Generation of Interpersonal Closeness." It guides two people through 36 specific questions that encourage mutual vulnerability and deep emotional bonding.

✨ Features

  • Three-Stage Journey: Questions are organized into three sets, gradually moving from lighthearted curiosity to deep, soul-baring honesty.
  • Minimalist Interface: A clean, distraction-free design to ensure the focus remains entirely on your conversation partner.
  • Responsive Experience: Works beautifully on mobile devices, perfect for a quiet date night at a cafe or a cozy evening at home.

📖 The Backstory

Inspired by the viral New York Times essay, "To Fall in Love with Anyone, Do This," this tool proves that closeness can be cultivated through the simple act of asking and listening. Whether you are with a partner, a friend, or a stranger, these questions help bridge the gap between "you and me" to "us."

🚀 How to Use

  1. Find a quiet, comfortable space where you won't be interrupted.
  2. Open the 36 Questions to Love app.
  3. Take turns reading and answering each question.
  4. Optional but Recommended: After the final question, look into each other's eyes in silence for four minutes.
