What advantages does this present when compared to just running: which already opens a SOCKS5 proxy on 9050 over SSH? |
I tried out opening a SOCKS proxy over SSH but it wasn't enough for what I needed. Wanted to have user authentication (with limited access to files on server) and persistence which I couldn't do with SSH. There's also more configurable options which I don't really need but could be useful depending on use case |
