Description

The #1088 enabled input shaper. But shaper frequencies in the config are still the Marlin's default of 40.0Hz. These are not SV06 hardware specific frequencies.

The vibration frequency profile of X-axis measured by an accelerometer on the head is:

The vibration frequency profile of Y-axis measured by an accelerometer on the bed is:

The results indicate X resonant is around 55-57Hz and Y resonant is around 43-45Hz.

The results came from a stock hardware directly on a wood desk. Of course, someone may get different results from different hardware settings. However, in the Internet, it sometimes found similar results with aboves, e.g. https://insertnewline.com/blog/SV06-klipper-input-shaping/.

I think the current setting 40Hz is far from the real X axis resonant 55Hz. This draft pre-sets shaper frequencies for X and Y axes of SV06 based on above results.

note:
Most config examples have the shaper frequencies of 40.0Hz. I found only the following two configs have pre-set frequencies.

  • Sunlu/T3 (X:30.0, Y:40.0)
  • Two Trees/SP-5_V3 (X:55, Y:55)

I'm not sure whether it's good idea to pre-set. But I would be happy if the frequencies was pre-set when I install a new version of Marlin for the first time. Therefore I created this draft.
