Your profile page gives you a broad overview of your library and music preferences. The intent is to create a shareable page that can give others a full sense of your music history and taste. The page has a variety of privacy options.

Privacy

Your profile can be set to either of the following privacy settings.

Setting Description
Private No one but the owner can see the profile by default.
Unlisted Profiles are public but will not be featured. Users can only view the profile with a direct link.
Public Profile is public and has the chance of being featured.

The goal is to come up with some privacy settings with follow requests. Spotify already has a follow feature, but this would focus on your Melophile profile. The feature must be named and described clearly to avoid confusion.

For now these three settings should do the trick.

Tabs

Name ID Description
Overview 1 An overview of your library.
Charts 2 Your chart overview page, displaying top items from multiple charts.

Numerics

The numerics section will display simple numerical data about your music library.

These will be displayed as basic numbers.

  • Number of Tracks Liked
  • Number of Artists Liked
  • Number of Playlists
  • Number of Genres

It should be noted that the number of artists followed is based on artists you've actually followed through Spotify's UI, not artists of which you have tracks from.

There will be a feature to allow you to automatically follow artists.

Timelines

The timeline section will cover a variety of graphs showing your history with Spotify. Data with timestamps is limited to tracks liked due to API limitations.

  • Timeline of Number of Tracks Liked
  • Timeline of Happiness of Tracks Liked
  • Timeline of Danceability of Tracks Liked
  • Timeline of Energy of Tracks Liked
  • Timeline of most Liked Artists
  • Timeline of most Liked Genres

Distributions

The distrubtions section will graph out the distributions of an audio feature for your whole library.

You will be able to view a distribution of:

  • Happiness
  • Danceability
  • Energy

Averages

The averages section will display the average of each audio feature.

  • Happiness
  • Danceability
  • Energy

Likelyhoods

The averages section will display the likelyhood a song is:

  • Live
  • Instrumental
  • Speechy

Stats

The Stats section will show you averages of the following audio features:

  • Average Tempo
  • Most Common Key
  • Most Common Mode

Charts

The Charts section has its own dedicated tab. From here, others can view your Chart overview page.

  • Top Played Tracks
  • Top Played Artists
  • Top Liked Genres
  • Most Happy Songs
  • Least Happy Songs
  • Most Danceable Songs
  • Least Danceable Songs
  • Most Energetic Songs
  • Least Energetic Songs
