  1. This textbook uses the desktop application version of the NetLogo software. At the time of publication of this book, a browser-based version of NetLogo will also be available. Most examples used in the book will work in the browser-based version, though some will require adaptation for that version.

New text:

  1. This textbook uses the desktop application version of the NetLogo software. Versions of NetLogo from 5.2.1 on include all models from the second printing of this textbook. A browser-based version of NetLogo, NetLogo Web, is also available. Most examples used in the book can be readily adapted to work in NetLogo Web, though it is still under development and it will be some time before all models work in it.
