The Sprint

Sprint will be May 7-8 at The Summit in San francisco or in irc in #ploneconf (irc.freenode.net), starting at 1pm PST until collapse.

Overview

The main goal for this sprint is to get the site live and be able to collect money. This comes in the form of tickets, sponsorship and authentication. We will be using brown paper tickets for ticketing backed by authorize.net.

Sponsorship can be a big or small task depending on whose working it and how much time they have. There is an opportunity here to create a pretty useful add on in general that collects money and then redirects the user to a place to upload their logo for the sponsors page/viewlet/whatever. Please give eleddy or spanktar a holler before digging in here - this may also be a good task for a couple of people.

LDAP integration is minimal. In theory, most people will have plone.org accounts anyways and Wyn is considering making it required to get onto the network at the conference. Credentials are below and Wyn should be online to supply the master password when we are ready. In addition, we would like to support oauth. This may or may not be possible in this time but we'll see :)

Last but not least is a content skeleton. There is a general Information Architecture laid out and we would like this to be installable for each new site. This way, every year people can create a new site, install the product, and see placeholders for what needs to be generated. Things that don't change often can be made into Browser Views but everything else should be editable TTW.

We realize this doesn't account for all of the features the site needs but its the minimal set to get things up and running. If there is excess help then we can start digging into other features for the future, such as schedule selection/voting and things of that nature.

• HTTPS! Need to redirect logins to https for purchasing/sponsorship/whatever
• Finalize design - Almost there.
