Summary/Motivation:

In Python3, you no longer need to explicitly inherit from object for classes; it's now implicit that if you type:

class MyClass:

it is equivalent to class MyClass(object):

We like staying modern, so this PR removes all instances.

Changes proposed in this PR:

  • Remove all instances of (object)
