The half-man-half-woman is not a very good icon to indicate restrooms, and it can be confusing or offensive to users. I propose we switch to toilets.

Article about it here.

I don't know how to use git so there is a good chance I have not made this pull request properly.

Hi, that looks pretty nice to me. "Neutral" is a fair word to describe it, which is appropriate.

I'm the newest person to become an active maintainer for this project, and I don't feel I "own" the project or branding very much. I'm just trying to keep the lights on. This has been discussed before, and some contributors and the major authors/maintainers of the project from early days seemed to agree that a toilet icon wasn't great. RefugeRestrooms/refugerestrooms#187 I wonder if they would feel differently if asked again? I can try to get their attention, but I'm not always able to get a quick response. As it is, I think this might be a reasonable change, but I'm not personally comfortable switching all the things over without their and/or some more community input. Maybe we can put up a twitter poll or get community input somehow.

Hi DeeDeeG,
That all makes sense!
I agree with the idea in the thread you linked that the half-half icon is not intended to be a representation of non-binary identify, but rather an indicator of man/woman/neither-ness. Unfortunately, as mentioned in the thread, it is often seen that way especially by folks who are new to the discourse or don't have any non-binary or trans folks in their community. Looking forward to seeing what the community deicides, and thanks for your work keeping this project going!
