Temporarily based on:
nightly-2025-05-09(~1.88) and Rust 2024 edition. #249It's still a bit early for this, but I wanted to get this PR open so more testing can be done.
The bulk of the changes here have to do with panicking/fmt, and some of them I would like to complete and land on
main, maybe even before the otherrustup.
