Person

Description

Name (lang:alternate names), profession, and description related to profession person is most notable for.

Example:

Kasthuriraani d/o Patto (Tamil: கஸ்தூரி பட்டு, romanized: Kastūri paṭṭu; is a Malaysian politician from the Democratic Action Party (DAP), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) opposition coalition.

Biography

Provide a description of the subject's major contributions in the immediately relevant field(s) of notable expertise.

Example:

She served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Batu Kawan from May 2013 to November 2022. She has served as the Assistant International Secretary of DAP since March 2022 and President of the Parliamentarians for Global Action (PGA) since December 2021 as well as Member of the Steering Group for the International Panel of Parliamentarians for the Freedom of Religion and Belief.

Photo

Photo of person, should be a portrait photo, with aspect ratio of 3:4. All images must be under an open licensed, that is freely usable. Official public domain photos are a good source.

PEPs status

A person is considered to be a Politically Exposed Person (PEP) if they are an individual who is or has been entrusted with prominent public functions, for example, Heads of State or of government, senior politicians, senior government, judicial or military officials, senior executives of state-owned corporations, important political party officials. All Ministers and Deputy Ministers, Members of Parliament (MPs), State EXCOs, and State Assemblypersons (ADUNs) are considered as politically exposed by nature of their position.

Description for political parties

The United Malays National Organisation (Malay: Pertubuhan Kebangsaan Melayu Bersatu; Jawi: ڤرتوبوهن كبڠساءن ملايو برساتو‎; abbreviated UMNO or less commonly PEKEMBAR), is a nationalist right-wing political party in Malaysia. Description for non-political party organizations

Name (lang:alternate names), purpose of formation/existence, and description related to its operations or industries it is most notable for.

Example:

The Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA; Malay: People's Trust Council) is a Malaysian government agency. It was formed to aid, train, and guide Bumiputra (Malays and other indigenous Malaysians) in the areas of business and industry. MARA was formed on March 1, 1966 under the Rural and National Development Ministry.

Logo

Logo of organization should ideally have a square aspect ratio and be of high enough resolution that it does not appear pixelated. All images must be under an open license that is freely usable. Official public domain photos are a good source.

Memberships

To add a Membership, go to the relevant Organization page. On the sidebar, click "Add New" and then "Membership".

Label

A label is a category or title that gives more context to a person's membership in an organization.

Role

A role is a function that a person fulfills.

Person

Enter the relevant person. Do note that in order to create a Membership, both the relevant organization and person have to exist as their respective Organization and Person page first.

Organization

Enter the relevant organization, e.g. GE15 Parliamentary Candidates or Anwar Cabinet.

Post

In most cases, this can be left blank.

On Behalf Of

Enter the organization that they are representing. Usually this would be a political party.

Example: Hannah Yeoh Tseow Suan (Person) has a Minister (Label) membership in the Anwar Ibrahim Cabinet (Organization) as the Youth and Sports Minister (Role) representing the Democratic Action Party (On Behalf Of). See Membership.

To add a relationship, go to the relevant Person page. On the sidebar, click "Add New" and then "Relationship".

Types of Relationship

  • Spouse - A spouse is a significant other in a marriage that is legally bound. In certain contexts, it can also apply to a civil union or common-law marriage.
  • Parent - A parent is a caregiver or caretaker of their offspring. Parents can be biological, adoptive, or added into the family by remarriage of another parent, e.g. stepmothers/stepfathers.
  • Sibling - A sibling is a relative that shares at least one parent with the subject. This can be through biological means e.g. full siblings or half siblings, remarriage e.g. step-siblings, or adoption e.g. adoptive siblings.
  • Cousin - A cousin is a relative that shares a grandparent with the subject.
  • Business Partner - A business partner is someone with whom the subject has entered into a business agreement or a legally binding contract with.
  • Associate - An associate is someone with whom the subject has a known but undefined relationship with. Friends and acquaintances would fall under this relationship type.
  • Romantic Partner - A romantic partner is someone with whom the subject has a romantic relationship that is not legally bound.
  • Employer - An employer is someone who hires the subject, offering wages/salary in exchange for the subject's labor or services.
  • Subordinate - A subordinate is someone who is under the authority of the subject in an organization, including but not limited to a direct report.

Relationship Name

The relationship name should be written as relationship type of the other person.

Example: Nurul Izzah Anwar is listed as Daughter of Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
