Add config file location to logs

• Added build instructions for Macos

• Added Macos specific files to gitignore

• Added VSCode specific files. TODO: include paths need to be added for other environments

• Closes Add config file location to logs #120

• Updated Readme with default locations. Qt can have the QSettings object write to a different folder if XDG_CONFIG_HOME is set, so wrote a little section that didn't go into that detail, but says to check the logs.

Any thoughts on this? If not the logging, the changes to README and dev tooling for mac could be useful.

I was waiting for another commit that remove the vscode and does not add the misleading path for windows config files
